Dr. Scully received an undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton and a Doctorate of Medicine and Biophysics from the University of Rochester. He completed his orthopedic residency at Duke University and an oncology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has subsequently served on the faculty of Duke, Mayo Clinic and University of Miami. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters in the field of orthopedics and serves on many national committees and editorial boards.
Dr. Scully has a clinical expertise in treating musculoskeletal tumors and hip and knee arthritis through orthopedic oncology. This includes hip and knee replacement as well as the treatment of painful and infected joint replacements.
Dr. Sean Scully lives and works as an orthopedic oncologist and hip and knee replacement surgeon in Morehead City and Jacksonville, North Carolina.
