Dr. Ricardo Valle Diaz received his M.D. from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico (his native island) and is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Dr. Valle Diaz completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
While he is experienced in treating all manner of orthopedic complaints, Dr. Valle Diaz has advanced training in hip, shoulder and knee arthroscopy. During his fellowship training, he was a team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and the Houston Dynamo as well the University of Houston football and basketball teams. Dr. Valle also performs hip, knee and shoulder total joint replacements. Dr. Valle Diaz is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, and has served as a team physician for the Frederick Keys, the Carolina League Affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles, and Urbana High School. He currently lives and works in Morehead City and Jacksonville, North Carolina.
