Dr. Garlon Campbell is a graduate of Lee University, U.A.G. School of Medicine and New York Medical College. He completed a four-year Anesthesiology residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was appointed the chief resident during his senior year. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in Anesthesiology Pain Medicine at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Campbell serves as a pain management specialist the treatment of acute, chronic and cancer pain with a special interest in stimulation of the dorsal column and peripheral nerves, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, chronic headache and spinal disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He believes in an integrated team approach working closely with your primary care physician, pain management doctor, and other physician specialists, insurers and case managers to coordinate your care and to ensure that you receive the best medical care possible. Our multidisciplinary approach encompasses many specialties including radiological examinations, neurological testing, laboratory screening, interventional procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychological counseling, surgical evaluation and home health care.
Dr. Campbell offers clinical consultations, individualized treatment programs and utilization of the latest methods and procedures tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. His goal for each patient is to improve function, enabling individuals to work, attend school and participate in life’s daily activities that many of us take for granted.
He is a candidate member of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), American Board of Anesthesiology Pain Medicine (ABAPM), American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) and active member of the American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA), North Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists, North Carolina Medical Society, and the Pain Society of the Carolinas.
