Biography

Steve Huber, originally from Altoona, PA, graduated from Gannon University in 1995 with a B.S. degree in respiratory therapy. After working for two years as a respiratory therapist, he enrolled in the physician assistant program at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Master’s degree in 1999. Upon graduation, he moved to Morehead City to practice in orthopedics. He works with Dr. Thomas Bates in general orthopedics and joint replacement.

Steve has worked in several areas of medicine since becoming a physician assistant, including emergency and family medicine, as well as serving as a volunteer at the Broad Street Clinic. He is a certified physician assistant, a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a three-county midlevel practitioner society.

Steve loves to spend quality time with his patients and knows most of them on a personal level. He is married and lives with his wife, Amie, and two daughters, in Morehead City. He enjoys outdoor sports and takes advantage of that as often as possible.
