Family Nurse Practitioner
Casey Carter is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Charlotte in 2008. Upon graduation, she worked at Caromont Health in critical care before deciding that she wanted to pursue her master’s degree. While in the Nurse Practitioner program at Duke University, she worked on the cardiac stepdown unit at Duke University Medical Center. Casey graduated from Duke University with her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2012.
She has enjoyed a very diverse nurse practitioner career, gaining experience in primary care, urgent care, weight loss management, endocrinology, obstetrics, and women’s health.
Casey’s goal is to empower and prepare patients to be active participants in their healthcare. She uses individualized evidence-based treatment plans to help patients improve their health outcomes.
